The Carnival, Sungai Petani

Last couple of weekend, we decided to have a mini vacation since Monday was a day off for Penangites. We decided to try out the The Carnival, a newly opened water theme park in Sungai Petani, Kedah. We spent a nite at Cinta Sayang Resort, joined by my good friend and her family.

We all loved The Carnival, despite a few shortcomings. Compared to Bukit Merah Laketown Resort, I prefer The Carnival for its beautiful surroundings, manicured lawn which reminds me of Disneyland (okay...not exactly like Disneyland). The water park is nice, they offer a computerized locker system and the tubes are free (the last I visited Bukit Merah, we had to rent them). Food are available inside, and not that bad or overpriced. The place is clean and so does the water too (maybe because it's new).

If anyone from the management of The Carnival/Cinta Sayang cares of what their customers think/feel. Perhaps they want to consider the following:

1. why is it that we need to spend RM10 at your food stall to enable us to get 1 token to play at the game stall? Some customers like myself, would love to indulge our children with the games but unable to do so since we spend most of our time at the water theme park (open 2pm - 8pm) on Day 1, and was hoping to get to play the game on Day2. But was told that our receipt from Day 1 is no longer valid. And they refused when I offer to pay to play. huh...you have that much money already, do you?

2. horse-back riding is only available for those who enroll for lessons and only available at certain time of the day, which also coincides with the operating hours of the Water Theme park. Can't you offer them for free rides in the morning since there's pretty much nothing we can do in the morning while waiting for the water theme park to open?

3. You might want to add more choices and availibility (different operating hours) if you truly want to claim that you offer both water & land excitement.

But all in all, we enjoyed our stay since the travelling time was short from Penang. Nevertheless, we hope that Cinta Sayang could re-look on some of the inconvinience they have caused the visitors, hence might want to improve on some areas.
